We were investigaing the gravel sheets of terraces in the Visegrad Gorge. To the analysing of these need to collecting sample also tributaries of Danube, so we go to the Ipoly and Hron valley. During this trip we found some cellar cut into the hillside at Kamenica nad Hronom. The hill was built of loess (Pleistocene eolian sediment) intercalated fluvial sediments, which was deposited by a paleoriver. Type of this intercalation is rear and very important as seen through the quartenary science.

The Carpatho-Balcan-Dinaric Conference on Geomorphology was on 22-24. jun. 2013 in Tatranska Lomnica, Slovakia (http://www.asg.sav.sk/CBDChome.htm). I met here with Alzbeta Medved’ova and we talked about this interesting topic. We decided to investigat in the frame of an international project. The International Visegrad Fund was the best idea.
I met with Alzbeta Medved’ova, Roberta Preskova and Juraj Holec at Kamenica nad Hronom to first collective trip on field. We found also an other outcrop near to Kamenica, and we are very lucky, because we found a fossil bone in a Late Pleistocene paleosoil. To Professor Holec (Juraj’s father) mind it is very likly a Metacarpale III. of Equus Germanicus, that lived in the Late Pleistocene.
