Geographical Institute RCAES MTA participated at the MTA Geonap (Geoday) event held on 13 th May 2016.

The event took place in the MTA's beautiful main building on Széchenyi tér. GI researchers provided an overview about the scientific work of the institute. On-going physical geography projects were presented by Zoltán Szalai, József Szeberényi and György Varga. A joint presentation of social geographers (Ágnes Erőss, Dániel Balizs, Balázs Szabó, Patrik Tátrai) offered snapshots from the multicultural past and present of Budapest. Besides the lectures, visitors could attend family program where every member of the family could test their knowledge in quizzes and simple experiments.
