About the Research Group

The CO2SOIL research group investigates soil gas dynamics. Our goal is to distinguish gases of geological origin from gases produced within the soil. Therefore, we study soil gases, soils, and soil water using geochemical, microbiological, and soil science approaches. During the different phases of the research, we conduct field measurements, develop experimental systems, and run geochemical models.
