Research topics
The economic geography is one of the oldest research areas of human geography in Hungary, moreover it is a very important pillar of geographical higher education. The Geographical Research Institute has significant traditions in economic geography both in sectoral and development policy-oriented research. The research group is dedicated to carry out their successful investigations focusing on the topic of dynamic transformation processes of the economy and its spatiotemporal aspects. The main research topics of the research group includes: geography of industry 4.0, healthcare, tourism, peripheries and preparation of 4th volume (economic geography) of National Atlas of Hungary.
